Health and Retirement Conference 2017

Dear SAS Member / Supporter,

 

Singapore Actuarial Society's 4th Health and Retirement Conference will be held on 12 and 13 October 2017, at Resorts World Sentosa.

 

The theme this year is Personalised Planning - One Size Does Not Fit All   

 

Personalisation, customization pervade all aspects of our lives.  And we see this in retirement and in health care planning.  The diversity of retirement and healthcare needs, the increasing sophistication of technology and availability of information - is pushing us, the industry to look for multi-disciplinary ideas and solutions.  This conference aims to bring many interested parties into the same space to network, while sharing and creating solutions.

 

The most recent World Bank 7th Global Pension and Saving Conference highlighted the need to focus more on issues at the intersection of pensions and health.  Our conference will do exactly that.

Click here.  We have 17 very accomplished and diverse speakers (topics- and global- wise) who will be presenting on topics ranging from digital health to wellness to holistic retirement planning to behavioural economics and products and much, much more.

 

And we have 2 Keynote Speakers:

 

• Dr Pieter Cullis will explain how personalised medicine is the biggest revolution of our time - using medical treatment based on each individual's unique molecular makeup.

 

• Daniel Mussett sets out how the New Zealand Society of Actuaries has developed 6 "rules of thumb" which help Kiwi retirees personalise how they spend their pots of money in retirement, to suit their individual lifestyles.

 

Who will be attending this Conference?

Professionals from the Insurance industry (life, general, health), medical / health professionals and practitioners, regulators (MAS, CPF), technology start-ups, government representatives - local and from across the region.  Including many actuaries.

 

Past conferences have attracted 100 - 150 attendees.
