We are pleased to introduce Ms Lee Wen Yee and Mr Mark Lim as our speakers for the AGM forum. They will be presenting a Singapore Case Study on RBC vs Solvency II.
The implementation of Solvency II could present an opportunity for companies to manage their risk and capital more efficiently. Although Solvency II is not currently a requirement in Singapore or elsewhere in the region, a certain level of interest exists in the industry. This presentation compares the theories underlying these frameworks and uses two simple hypothetical examples to illustrate the impact of moving from the Singapore RBC framework to the Solvency II framework for certain product classes.
