Charlene spent 15 years in the Life & Health Insurance/Reinsurance field in various roles across pricing, valuation and data science. She decided to dive deeper into the healthcare sector with her move to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where she now strives towards building a patient-centred, integrated healthcare system for the residents in Central Singapore, supported by a sustainable, value-driven financing model and robust digital enablers. Charlene is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA), and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) with Imperial College London.
Alex Lee

Alex is an actuary with over 20 years of experience. He has held various actuarial, risk and finance roles in different life and composite insurers. After taking a year of sabbatical to pursue his Masters degree, Alex has been searching for roles where he can apply experience to do good for the society. That’s how he landed in a role in healthcare.
Kwok Kei Cheung
Ministry of Health
Kwok Kei is a qualified actuary with 20 years of experience in life insurance. In his current role with the Ministry of Health (MOH), he helps to ensure sustainability of the insurance schemes under the MOH, focusing on the actuarial aspects such as pricing, capital management and analytics.
Kay Shong
SAS Health Committee Chair (2019-2021)
Kay Shong (FSA,CERA,FSAS) is Actuarial Director in Coherent, where she is responsible for delivering Coherent technology solutions and advisory services to insurance companies in Asia. With about 15 years of industry experience, her areas of expertise include business development, product development, pricing and financial reporting. Kay is SAS Council Member and Board member at the International Actuarial Association Health Section (IAAHS). She also served as SAS Health Committee Chair during 2019-2021
