The Data Analytics Committee (DAC) is hosting a session on 14 Oct. Are you an actuary working in Actuarial or Finance functions of an insurer or reinsurer? Then this session is for you to see the latest developments in Gen AI with use-cases in practice.

In this 1.5-hour session, you will experience how Gen AI is being used in Actuarial and Finance functions. We’ll start with analysing MAS returns data and Annual Reports using Gen AI. Next, we’ll explore Presentation, Chart Production and Analysis generation for management reporting.

What You’ll Learn:
•    How custom Gen AI utilities are different and why insurers/reinsurers are choosing to use these
•    Thinking beyond the use-cases we will demonstrate, we will workshop other areas of potential
•    Discuss implications & opportunities for actuaries, and future-proofing skillsets

By the end of this session, you will understand customised Gen AI utilities and how it is being deployed in Finance and Actuarial functions – to extract unstructured data and conduct analysis.

Meet Your Trainer: Grace Li

Grace Li is an actuary who has worked across Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. She is a Director with EY’s ASEAN Consulting team based in Singapore, focusing on insurance consulting across actuarial, strategy, technology and business transformation. Grace has 15 years of insurance experience across APAC, including working with a large global reinsurer in Singapore and with a statutory primary insurer in Australia.
