As our next guest speaker for our SAS forum, the Singapore Actuarial Society is pleased to welcome Ms. Natalie Fellner, Senior Business Analyst with Munich Re’s Risk Trading Unit.

Natalie will be giving an introductory talk on insurance-linked securities.

Natalie will speak on what risks can be securitized and what structures are viable and how the use of insurance linked securities is not only a risk management tool, but also a capital management tool. She will also talk about today’s capital market environment for these securities.

About the presenter: Natalie Fellner joined Munich Re, Munich, in July 2007. Natalie is a senior business analyst in Munich Re’s Risk Trading Unit, advising life and non-life companies regarding capital market solutions. She is a qualified actuary (DAV) and holds a degree in mathematics from the Technical University of Munich in Germany. Prior to taking up her current position, she worked for four years as an actuary at Allianz. Before that she worked for four years at Swiss Re Germany as an actuary, responsible for group performance measurement.
