Description
Responsibilities
- Support primarily P&C/non-life actuarial consulting engagements
- Assist in data collection and preparation of client deliverables
- Perform actuarial calculations, modelling, and testing under the guidance of senior team members
- Conduct research on regulatory developments, actuarial standards, market trends, and industry practices, including MAS regulations where relevant
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders
- Participate in quality assurance and data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of work
- Contribute to proposal development, market research, and business development initiatives as needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members and actively participate in learning and professional development opportunities
- Undertake other duties, projects, and ad hoc assignments as reasonably required to support the team and business objectives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative disciplines
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing an actuarial career through actuarial examinations, relevant coursework, projects, or internships will be viewed favourably.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Able to work independently;
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and writing skills; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
