TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS

FELLOW

The highest class of SAS membership, open to actuaries who have attained Fellowship with a recognised Category 1 or Category 2 Actuarial Association (C1AA / C2AA). Fellows are recognised for their full professional qualifications, expertise, and standing within the global actuarial community.

ASSOCIATE

Designed for actuaries who have achieved Associateship with a recognised C1AA or C2AA, this tier acknowledges your professional progress and growing contributions to the actuarial field.

ORDINARY

For individuals who are partway through their actuarial qualifications with a C1AA or C2AA. Ordinary members are valued for their commitment to the actuarial path as they work towards Associate or Fellow status.

STUDENT

Created for undergraduates and postgraduates in actuarial science or related fields, this tier supports those preparing for qualifications with a C1AA or C2AA while building connections within the SAS community.

Affiliate

Open to anyone with an interest in actuarial science who may not be pursuing actuarial qualifications. Affiliate members can engage with SAS activities and benefit from being part of the wider actuarial network.
